We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Industry Relations/Shopper Marketing Manager to join our growing team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Shopper Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading long and short-term planning for key Industry, Customer and Sales Events, and will support Shopper marketing initiatives across the Mint, Gum & Non-Chocolate business. They will be responsible for designing and executing programs that drive in-store brand awareness, consideration, and conversion. They will expertly present insights to cross functional business partners, including Brand, Sales & Leadership team to advance PVM’s relationship as a trusted partner. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Lead Planning for Key Industry Events – (NCA Sweets & Snacks, NACS Show, NACS State of Industry, NACS Leadership Forum, & NCA State of the Industry).
  • Lead Planning for Key Sales Team Events – (Semi-Annual Commercial Team New Item Launch Meetings, Other Channel Shows – ECRM, Convenience Channel Trade Shows, Drug, Food, & Customer Events).
  • Lead Shopper Marketing Agenda in key accounts as identified by manager based on organizational strategy. 
  • Identifying the core shopper insights, setting objectives, developing & executing the marketing plans in Retailers to deliver business goals.
  • Support Integrated Planning as led by manager. 
  • Execute Shopper Marketing opportunities with partners through programs, promotions, and product offerings or services. End to end management of program inclusive of post event analysis.
  • Lead Planning and Execution for all Trade Advertising – Research an array of Trade Publications & Secure annual contracts for print & digital ads as well as Category Thought Leadership opportunities. 
  • Work with Marketing and Design Teams to align on brand initiatives and ensure PVM is well represented. Assist in the creation & submission of ads, process invoices and manage the Trade Advertising budget.
  • Build and maintain cross functional relationships within the organization and with the Shopper team, including developing and delivering presentations to gain buy-in and to drive results. Examples are inclusive of, but not limited to: Retailer line reviews, sales meetings, investment requests, Brand relationships etc.
  • Work with Sales to understand customer/channel objectives, review portfolio performance and prepare presentations or content for customer facing events. Inform and educate Brand and Sales on category/industry trends and performance. 
  • Identify gaps in executional plans for both industry & Shopper Marketing events with recommendations.
  • Cost benefit comparison in location and venue selection for large commercial team events.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Combine 2+ years of CPG or related experience. 
  • Industry Relations Planning is a plus.
  • Understanding of Circana/Nielsen data is a plus.
  • Strong collaborative nature: ability to work independently as well as cross functionally.
  • Curious and takes initiative - develops and seeks out creative and innovative ideas with strong project management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and to prioritize the completion of tasks while adhering to deadlines.
  • Initiative-taking planning and project management with multiple touchpoints (internal/external).
  • Financial acumen related to ROI analysis and program optimization.
  • Ability to leverage data and trends to generate insights and solutions, which drive shopper behaviors.
  • Understanding of US Retailers and their go-to-market strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, all-in attitude and a willingness to embrace change in a growing and evolving business.
