Join us as Corporate HQ Financial Controller and play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our financial processes while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

The position we are hiring for is located in Breda, the Netherlands.

What you will do

As Corporate HQ Financial Controller, you will take ownership of financial processes across our Dutch holding companies, including Corporate departments. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders and the Group Controlling Director to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls and effective cost management.

Your key responsibilities:

• Oversee and enhance financial control frameworks to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple entities in compliance with Dutch GAAP or local accounting standards.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and actionable insights to department heads and senior management.
• Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and month-end/year-end closings.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax obligations, and corporate policies.
• Maintain and optimize allocation models and cost settlements for corporate service and IP departments.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing financial control and accounting team.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, supporting financial decision-making and collaborating with Treasury, Tax and Legal teams.

What we need from you

Our ideal candidate offers:

• Strong knowledge of financial control, accounting, and reporting for group entities, with experience in Dutch GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and financial reporting systems, preferably SAP and Tagetik.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements that enhance decision-making.
• Proven experience managing teams, fostering collaboration and guiding stakeholders towards common objectives.
• Skilled in driving process improvements, managing audits and implementing new financial frameworks.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation and maintaining master data for accurate financial planning.
• Ability to present complex financial information clearly and engage with senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification preferred.
• 7+ years in financial control, accounting and reporting within multinational or large corporate environments.
• Fluency in English.
