We’re now looking for a Demand Data Scientist to join our Plan & Deliver (P&D) team and help shape data-driven decision-making across Europe.
Location scope
This role is currently located in Schiphol (NL) with an hybrid work model but open to candidates based in European countries where Perfetti Van Melle operates. We welcome applications from the following locations as an hybrid/remote solution: the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Denmark, and the Czech Republic.
The position is part of our European Center of Excellence (COE) and works closely with regional stakeholders across Europe in a fully remote setup.
Where we need you:
The Demand Data Scientist transforms demand data into actionable insights that drive smarter decision-making across the regional Plan & Deliver (P&D) function. You will support continuous improvement and innovation in demand forecasting through advanced analytics and predictive modelling, helping to strengthen supply chain agility and resilience across Europe.
You will act as a key analytical sparring partner for Local Demand Planning, Regional and Group Plan & Deliver teams, translating business needs into impactful, data-driven solutions.
Your core responsibilities at a glance:
- Turn complex supply chain and commercial data into actionable insights
- Build predictive models to support demand forecasting, identification of data outlier and concrete action for data cleaning.
- Create dashboards and visualizations to support improvements in demand planning and performance tracking
- Partner with Local demand Planning and Global Supply Chain Data & Insight teams across Europe
- Support digitalization and transformation initiatives within P&D

The ideal recipe for our new Demand Data Scientist:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar
- 3–5 years of experience in data science/analytics (FMCG or supply chain preferred)
- Strong skills in statistics, machine learning & predictive modelling
- Experience with programming languages, data visualization & cloud analytics tools
- Fluent in English. Poficient in at least one or more European language is a plus.
- Curious, analytical mindset with strong communication skills.
