What you will do
As the Global Process Owner (GPO) Costing, you will take ownership of our end-to-end processes within Cost Accounting, collaborating across functional domains to align process, data, and technology. You will work closely with key stakeholders to drive improvements, implement best practices, and support our PEAK FP&A ambitions to become a trusted business partner and leading insights provider. You will be the gate keeper on the Global S4 template related to costing and subsequent processes/systems in collaboration with PEL and other GPO’s.
Your key responsibilities:
- Proactively enhance and monitor cost accounting sub-processes, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Maintain and optimize prerequisites for product costing, including BOMs, routings, and plan prices.
- Execute product costing in S4, oversee month-end closing processes, and ensure accurate Actual Material Ledger setups.
- Design and (re)-implement advanced Supply chain Finance reporting tools, such as Power BI dashboards/reports for production P&L and variance analysis such as Price and efficiency .
- Actively support OC’s for a smooth supply chain finance Month end closure process
- Develop a comprehensive process roadmap to prioritize and implement business transformation initiatives and continues improvement programs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g. Supply chain, Procurement, R&D, Group Finance supply chain, SME) to align processes with the global template and resolve ambiguities.
- Actively manage process breaks, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support training programs and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure successful rollouts, with a focus on data migration.
- Lead and coordinate daily operations of Subject Matter Experts (SME), Key users (KU) business analysts, architects, and consultants.
- Foster collaboration across functional streams to promote an integrated approach and a process-oriented culture.
What we need from you
- Deep Expertise in Cost Accounting: A strong understanding of end-to-end cost accounting processes, including product costing, actual costing, and month-end closing, with proven experience managing these in a global context.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with S4 systems for product costing and integration, along with advanced proficiency in tools like Power BI for reporting and analysis.
- Analytical and Process Improvement Skills: The ability to analyze complex data and processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements that drive business transformation.
- Financial Acumen: Expertise in budgeting, allocations, and maintaining master data to ensure accurate and effective financial planning and reporting.
- Leadership and Collaboration: A proven track record of managing and inspiring cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and aligning stakeholders towards a common goal.
- Change Management Capabilities: Experience leading large-scale process changes, training initiatives (such as Train the Trainer programs), and user acceptance testing to ensure successful adoption.
- Problem-Solving Approach: A proactive mindset to manage process breaks, ambiguity, and challenges, driving continuous improvement and alignment with global standards.
- Effective Communication Skills: The ability to clearly articulate complex processes and engage with diverse teams across the organization.
