Jr. Buyer direct- Raw and Packaging Materials

We are looking for a energetic and ambitious Jr Buyer Direct Materials who is at the early stages of their procurement career and ready for the next challenge. In this role, you will work closely with our Raw and Packaging Material buyers, supporting them in day-to-day procurement activities while gradually taking ownership of your own tasks, categories, and improvement projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This position is ideal for a self‑starter who enjoys taking initiative, is eager to learn, and feels comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multinational environment. You will gain exposure to a wide range of suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, making this a strong development role for anyone aiming to grow within strategic procurement.

Your core tasks in a nutshell:

• Support category buyers in sourcing activities, tender processes, and supplier management.
• Analyze supplier quotations, prepare comparisons, and contribute to negotiation preparations.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, QA, Planning, Finance) to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
• Maintain and update procurement data (in SAP), including pricing, contracts, and supplier documentation.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials by managing lead times, stock levels, and delivery schedules.
• Participate in supplier meetings and audits.
• Support supplier performance evaluations (OTIF, quality, responsiveness).
• Monitor market developments, cost drivers, and potential supply risks.
• Ensure compliance with procurement processes, quality requirements, and internal standards.

• Support colleagues of the purchasing department whenever needed.

OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE

We may not have to tell you that you are strong in stakeholder relationships with excellent communication skills (but we do it to be sure!). These are, in our opinion, the ideal ingredients to make this role a success:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Did you get certified for NEVI I? That’s great!

• Experience with direct materials (raw materials or packaging) is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (SAP is an advantage).
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
