We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic MRO Supervisor to join our growing team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The MRO Supervisor oversees all activities related to the procurement, storage, inventory management, and distribution of maintenance, repair, and operating supplies. This role ensures critical spare parts and materials are available to support equipment reliability and maintenance planning while optimizing inventory levels, costs, and supplier performance. The MRO Supervisor partners closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Procurement teams to support efficient plant operations and compliance with company standards. Additional responsibilities include: 

 

•    Oversee the daily operations of the MRO storeroom, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and adherence to 5S standards.
•    Supervise the receipt, labeling, storage, and issuance of parts and materials.
•    Ensure that all inventory transactions (issues, returns, receipts, and adjustments) are accurately recorded in the CMMS or ERP system.
•    Maintain proper organization of shelves, bins, and critical spares to ensure quick access and visibility.
•    Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to maintain system accuracy and minimize variances.
•    Set and maintain appropriate min/max levels and reorder points for all spare parts based on usage trends and criticality.
•    Identify and eliminate obsolete, duplicate, or slow-moving inventory in collaboration with Maintenance and Engineering.
•    Monitor inventory value, turns, and stockout frequency to optimize working capital and service levels.
•    Develop and maintain equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs) and critical spares lists.
•    Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement of MRO supplies and spare parts.
•    Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost; participate in vendor audits when necessary.
•    Source alternative suppliers or parts to reduce lead times and total cost of ownership.
•    Approve or generate purchase requisitions for MRO items in accordance with company policies.
•    Work closely with Maintenance Planners and Technicians to ensure spare parts availability for scheduled and emergency work orders.
•    Support maintenance planning by identifying upcoming parts needs for preventive maintenance (PM) and shutdown events.
•    Maintain accurate records of parts usage per equipment to enable cost tracking and reliability analysis.
•    Coordinate repair or refurbishment of components such as motors, gearboxes, and valves through internal or external vendors.
•    Supervise and develop MRO team members (clerks, storeroom attendants, or technicians).
•    Assign daily work, monitor performance, and provide training on procedures, safety, and system usage.
•    Participate in safety audits, inspections, and corrective action implementation.
•    Maintain organized and compliant records for audits (internal, corporate, or regulatory).
•    Maintain accurate part and vendor master data within the CMMS/ERP system.
•    Develop and present regular reports on inventory accuracy, stockouts, spending, and cost-saving initiatives.
•    Track KPIs such as inventory turns, service levels, and storeroom accuracy.
•    Support CAPEX and OPEX budget forecasting related to MRO inventory
•    Identify opportunities to streamline storeroom workflows, reduce waste, and improve response time to maintenance needs.
•    Lead 5S, TPM, and digitalization initiatives within the MRO function.
•    Support implementation of best practices for maintenance material management (MMM).
•    Drive cross-functional improvement projects with Maintenance, Engineering, and Procurement teams.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

•    7-10 years of experience in Maintenance departments, Stock Rooms and/or Maintenance Systems
•    Understanding of inventory control methods, ABC Analysis, min/max levels, reorder points and inventory optimization
•    Knowledge of maintenance planning, preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and critical spare parts management
•    Familiarity with sourcing, supplier evaluation, cost analysis and contract management for MRO materials and services.
•    Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and ERP (SAP) modules related to inventory and purchasing
•    Understanding of OSHA standards, hazardous material handling and proper storage procedures for maintenance parts and consumables
•    Knowledge of TPM, 5S or LEAN methodologies to drive efficiency and waste reduction in MRO Operations
