Retail Go-To-Market (GTM) Sales Manager (East, West, National)

We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic Retail Go-To-Market Sales Manager to join our growing team.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Retail GTM Sales Manager supports retail execution excellence for in-store selling activities.  The role manages retail business activities, from development to implementation, to achieve retail business strategic objectives through broker partners. 

Key responsibilities include: 

•    Supports retail businesses to ensure clear visibility on how brands and plans translate in the marketplace
•    Ensures tools available including fact-based information and sales literature that can be used by retail brokers in retail business development efforts
•    Conducts weekly/monthly analytics on retail sales KPI’s to track progress against retail sales initiatives, targets, and budgets 
•    Manages retail RTM tactics, budget tracking, broker performance, execution, and results and regularly review with broker leadership
•    Effectively manages in-store execution with brokers by providing product education (PVM Portfolio), DSMP objectives by customer (Retail Priorities), sales resources such as POS and selling stories.    
•    Utilizes cross-functional teams, internal/external (marketing, supply chain, SLT, broker agencies) to develop actionable plans with retail for special projects based on key market or account opportunities
•    Develops, executes, and tracks account-specific retail strategies (i.e., new item blitzes, promotions, and resets) to track progress against retail business targets

•    Contribute to review of retail RTM model (retail strategy) and execute implementation of any changes within span of control
•    Conduct in-field work-withs and market audits to understand broker in-store execution against retail objectives and competitive landscape.
 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

•    BS/BA in Business or a related field required
•    2-3 years of experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) Industry 
•    1-2 years of experience in operations management and / or retail execution
•    Understanding of category and syndicated data analysis; interpreting and drawing accurate conclusions (IRI, Neilson, and Retail Link) 
•    Understanding of SAP, TPM reporting, BI reporting and IRI data
•    Ability to achieve results with and through other departments who do not report directly to this position
•    Works effectively within a fast-paced, ambiguous, and changing environment
•    Ability to create business strategic plans using P&L/budget skills
•    Ability to effectively communicate key tactics and products that achieve the strategic objectives of brand and the business channels
•    Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
•    Ability to analyze computer reports on sales data, forecasts, and budgets
•    Excellent analytical/problem solving skills with the ability to interpret data and handle complex situations in a cross functional environment
