Who we are Looking For

Within our Process & Technology Department in La Giulia, our plant based in Gorizia, we are looking for a Packaging Project Coordinator who will support all the activities of strategic projects at the level of Operation Italy, cooperating closely with the Packaging Development Manager. 

What Will You Do

  • Interface with Group Packaging, Procurement and local packaging to manage tenders preparation and execution
  • Close collaboration with Procurement and Quality teams to support the “Supplier Selection Process & Review” for any new/incumbent supplier
  • Build effective working relationships with suppliers and perform regular quality audit of the suppliers along with Quality and Procurement.
  • Coordinate standardization of packaging technical documentation among OCs and compliance to Group & PDR requirements
  • Manage assigned projects until conclusion and/or handover to the factory
  • Collaborate with Packaging Specialists and support during FAT and SAT  
  • Provide expertise on Food Contact Materials and act as focal point for:
    • Regulatory and  Marketing in case of Gadget, Toys and promotional items 
    • M&E in case of equipment 
  • Support creation of a culture/way of working based on evidences properly documented
  • Collaborate with R&D and Quality Italy on specific projects/initiatives promoted within P&T
  • Collaborate with QC team to ensure that latest quality techniques and test are applied consistently and new methods are developed, if necessary
  • Propose new packaging concepts with a view on new materials, new technologies and new suppliers focused on cost optimization, sustainability and performance characteristics

What We Require from You

  • At least 2 years of experience in Packaging Development in multinational companies beloging to Food Industry 
  • Scientific university degree, at least Bachelor, in Chemistry, Material Science or Food Science & Technology
  • Deep knowledge of chemistry and process technology of packaging materials 
  • Deep knowledge of food safety aspects of packaging materials and major legal frameworks
  • Ability to simultaneously plan, estimate, organize and monitor multiple project responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and common programs (Office) and  professional software management (SAP)
  • More frequent national mobility is required but also abroad for audits, FAT and SAT and other activities
  • Located in Friuli Venezia Giulia region or be open to relocate
