Main purpose of the role
Within Group Regulatory Affairs Team, the new resource will work on various regulatory and scientific activities. The person will contribute and support the organization in relation to compliance, to the assessment of ingredients and the impact on the business of new regulations while helping to comply with them.
What you will do
- Contribute to the regulatory and compliance assessment of food additives, ingredients and product formulations;
- Contribute to the safety assessment of ingredients and products;
- Monitor and report to internal stakeholder regulatory developments in EU on: food additives and related specifications, contaminants and other relevant topics;
- Monitor and report accordingly other regulatory initiatives applicable to the confectionery industry as requested;
- Participate as requested to trade association activities.
Who you are
- Master’s degree in a scientific discipline (chemistry or chemistry and pharmaceutical technology/Pharmacy or biology/biotechnology, toxicology);
- 1-3 years experience in a food manufacturing organization or food related business in a regulatory, R&D or quality function;
- Experience in ingredients/products compliance assessment;
- At least a basic knowledge of EU food/food additive legislation (knowledge of other non-EU countries, would be considered a plus);
- Ideally a basic competence in toxicology;
- Fluency in English; knowledge of another language, i.e. French or German would be plus;
- Strong interest in studying and learning diverse topics in the food legislation context;
- Ability to work in teams and to coordinate activities with other colleagues also located in other countries;
- Capacity to communicate effectively at all levels.
