Main Purpose of the role

The technology platform manager, reporting to the Sr. Category Manager, is responsible to identify, develop and deliver new technology platforms, enabling new product experience and new manufacturing processes development in all markets and manufacturing sites of the group.
This imply to be pioneer of new ingredients solution and food technology applicable to deposited jellies and (licorice) extrusion
The candidate will have to be creative and agile in bringing those innovations to market in order to drive competitive advantage.

What you will do

  • Identify ideas to fill pipeline of technology platform. Scope and present ideas to senior management. Define development path from idea to market;
  • Create network and partnership with suppliers of Raw materials and machines to be up to scout;
  • Interact with Scientific affairs, University, Research institute, suppliers and consultants to gain new expertise (raw material, formulations, process);
  • Define IP strategy and work in partnership with legal and scientific affairs;
  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for innovation;
  • Understand characteristics and influence/interaction of the ingredients used in the specific candies to ensure stable product quality and efficiency of production processes;
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining high standards of scientific and technical excellence;
  • Coordinate pilot trials at innovation center or in manufacturing sites.

Our perfect candidate

  • Education in Food Technology, Chemical Technology or Food Engineering;
  • Min 10 years of experience in FMCG as Technologist or similar technologist function;
  • Technological expertise in confectionary area, preferably in the assigned category;
  • Expertise in raw material functionality;
  • Expertise in recipes formulation, jellies is a strong advantage;
  • Expertise of food manufacturing processes;
  • Preferable knowledge in Lean manufacturing (green belt/ black belt);
  • Experience in scouting new technologies and in competitor intelligence;
  • Good Managerial and leadership skills;
  • Good project management skills (Plan & Time).
