WHAT YOU WILL DO

Assistant Brand Manager acts as a business contributor, leading the operational execution for the success of a brand with supervision from the Commercial Director.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop & recommend brand growth strategies
  • Responsible to meet the annual sales target
  • Drive penetration through strengthening both mental & physical availability
  • Develop & recommend new product launches which meets launch criteria (consumer qualification, feasibility assessment, financial criteria, KPI setting)
  • Develop & recommend locally relevant product and integrated marketing campaign while aligning with global brand direction 
  • Monitor, analyse and evaluate brand performance and consumer feedback
  • Track market trend, competitive launches, communications, and other marketing activities
  • Recommend & execute relevant learning plans including consumer researches
  • Develop package design with in-house design agency in Italy
  • Manage marketing budget
  • Support / Communicate with distributor about the new product and marketing campaigns 

 

Assistant Brand Manager operates in a collaborative and cross-functional environment, engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to drive brand strategy and execution. Key interactions include:

This role requires strong communication skills, proactive stakeholder management, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, matrixed environment to ensure brand consistency and market success.

OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA) is plus
  • 3+ years’ experience in consumer-packaged goods companies in Japan
  • Experience in confectionery, food and beverage Marketing is plus
  • Experience working in fast-paced categories
  • Experience working in cross-functional environment (internal, external inc. advertising / media / PR agencies)
  • Working experience with distributor / working with global headquarter is plus
  • Experience with leveraging consumer researches
  • Experience with new product development and launches
  • Experience developing integrated marketing campaign
  • Digital marketing led campaign experience is plus
  • Native level Japanese and business level English skill in both written and spoken is required
