WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of all PVM products distributed in South Korea, including those manufactured by global factories and local co-packers. The role partners closely with distributors, co-packers, and regional/global Quality teams to maintain high product standards, minimize consumer complaints, and ensure full compliance with Korean food regulations. The role also leads quality assurance activities during new product development (post-concept stages only) to ensure smooth launch readiness and prevent post-launch quality issues.

 

Quality Compliance & Quality System Management

  • Ensure all products comply with Korean food regulations, including standards, specifications, labeling and packaging requirements
  • Localize and implement Global/Regional Quality policies within Korea’s quality management system (QMS)
  • Conduct regular audits for co-packers and distributors; lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify effectiveness
  • Monitor quality performance, detect abnormalities, and drive continuous improvement actions

 

Customer & Consumer Complaint Management

  • Lead end-to-end complaint management: intake, investigation, root cause analysis, and conclusion
  • Collaborate with distributor QA teams and factory QA teams to execute effective CAPA and prevent recurrence
  • Analyze complaint trends to identify systemic issues and drive improvement initiatives.

 

NPD Quality Assurance (Post-Concept Stages Only)

Co-packer Quality Management

 

  • Oversee the quality performance of Korean co-packers, including process controls, hygiene, and packaging standards
  • Lead co-packer audits, assess manufacturing suitability, and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Collaborate with co-packers and factories to manage production-related quality issues

 

OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing plant as well as experience managing QA/QC functions. Food plant experience is highly preferred, as well as working within a global network
  • Experience in consumer complaint investigation and CAPA execution
  • Experience with imported food quality control or co-packer management preferred
  • Experience with QMS/FSMS such as ISO 9001 or ISO 22000 preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability (root cause analysis, trend evaluation)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience in working with multifunctional teams (Marketing, manufacturing, engineering, R&D)
  • Fluent in Korean; business sufficient level spoken and written English
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

 

Preferred Certifications

 

  • HACCP certification or equivalent training
  • Auditor certification for ISO 9001 / ISO 22000 preferred
