WHAT YOU WILL DO

The main purpose of the role is to develop and refine 24 months rolling demand plan both in-market sales and shipment forecasts with clear baseline and building blocks assumptions for both core SKUs and new product development (NPD) SKUs focusing on the core markets of Export Far East. 

 

The role supports Commercial teams in terms of analysis of demand drivers cause by in-market activities such as competitor, uplifts from a promotion and price pack changes to influence distributors to enrich the forecast. 

 

The role interacts heavily with both internal and external stakeholders. For internal stakeholders, the role work closely with Country Managers, Local Marketing Team, Tade Marketing Team & Finance Team. The role aligns baseline and building blocks assumptions with the internal stakeholders. Changes in the promotion plan must be analyzed to understand impact of forecast changes.

 

The role also meets with the Distributors monthly to perform Collaborative Forecasting. He/She prepares In Market Sales Forecast & Shipment Forecast comparison vs Target & vs Last Month. He/She highlights distributor inventory. Most importantly, provide reasonability of the forecast.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

Demand Planning

  • Lead the Monthly Integrated Business Planning cycle key meetings: Demand Review, Supply Review, S&OP.
  • Drive the one-number principle within the organization.
  • Analyze historical data and compute baseline demand (P+12) using demand planning tools available.
  • Lead initial forecasting for NPDs and promotional activities. Initiate pre and post evaluation of NPDs and promo.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team on rolling consensus demand plan (CDP) for balance of the year. This includes the discussion on uplift for promo.
  • Generate robust demand plan per DP Group.
  • Improve the demand planning at the depots.

 

Supply Chain Optimization

  • Analysis of SKU portfolio & recommend next steps to reduce MPR issues/concerns.
  • Provides inputs through information and insights in the identification of process improvement and optimization opportunities. Contributes to the identification of possible Optimization areas in PH Supply Chain functions including Customer Service and Logistics.
  • Understand key Business Processes within EFE/PH and lead focused improvement project, implement continuous improvement.
  • Leads the development of performance result analysis to highlight gaps and enhancement opportunities.
  • Leads the solutions’ design, testing, implementation, and post-implementation monitoring and review. This includes the definition of targets, validation, and the development of Project Roadmap.

OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Math, Statistics, Business Management
  • At least 7 years of hand-on demand planning experience
  • Strong preference for someone with international market exposure
  • Has implemented forecasting process / tools for improvement
  • Familiarity with working dynamics with distributors within Asia Pacific
  • Exposure to integrated business planning / management
  • Forecast system exposure and collaborative forecasting
  • Willing to travel 5-10% of the time
