Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Rewards & Operations Head is responsible for the over-all strategy and management of Rewards programs, initiatives and Compensation and Benefits Operations of Perfetti Van Melle entities in scope.
  • This includes the planning, coordinating, and evaluating various employee services, policies and programs for HR operational efficiency of PHILIPPINES, JAPAN and EXPORT FAR EAST MARKETS (e.g. multi-country cluster). While balancing strategy, tactics and operational ability.
  • This includes overseeing the administration for employee data, payroll, compensation and benefits program, on-boarding to off-boarding, facilities and vendor management (Philippines). In addition, the position ensure processes are compliant with local legislative/mandatory regulations, and company policies and procedures. Familiar with mobility and expatriation assignments and related compensation and benefits.
  • It supports the development of a result-driven oriented team (managing 2 direct reports) and promotes, initiative and team spirit as aligned with the company organizational culture and strategies.
  • Leads the development of Total Rewards programs, practices and policies; including the annual Compensation Cycle and regular Job Evaluations.
  • Leads the coordination of compensation and benefits/pension program management for legislative changes and communication. Tracks, calculates and/or processes all total rewards related programs.
  • Keeping abreast of legislative changes and the impact to the programs in each geography in scope payroll processing and compliance are key accountabilities of this role.
  • Contributes to development of HR strategy, aligned with and supporting business strategies.
  • Oversees Payroll, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and compliance and vendor management.
  • Collaborates with leaders across the organization and provides support to business partners in recommending changes to aspects of current programs, policies and procedures to ensure programs are market competitive, internally equitable and cost effective. 
  • Liaises with internal stakeholders and external vendors such as consultants, insurance companies, government agencies for information, market trends and problem solving to provide solutions on unique/precedent setting issues.
  • Leads HR Audit

Qualifications

  • In depth technical and legislative knowledge of Compensation and Benefits plans and programs.
  • Experience in Total Rewards program design and delivery.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel with strong analytical abilities.
  • Strong ability to be flexible, and re-prioritize work efforts as required.
  • Must be able to build relationships at all levels and operate at senior levels as well as work operationally.
  • Participate in a number of cross functional committees – must represent HR well and be knowledgeable and up to date of current events within the groups.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Business Administration / Management  / Behavioural Sciences / Psychology, preferred
  • In-depth understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and employment standards in multiple Asian countries, preferred
  • At least 8 years previous work experience with same capacity in Rewards, HR Operations
  • Experience handling Payroll and/or Benefits administration
  • Exposure to Facilities & Vendor Management (Philippines); and knowledge of HR streams Recruitment; Training; Performance & Development Management
  • Experience interacting with Senior Management and large group presentations.
