Qué harás

The Product Development Leader (PDL) will be responsible for developing and executing product innovation and enhancement projects, including driving improvements in product features, design, and cost optimization. This role is accountable for leading cross-functional project teams to successfully plan and execute product development initiatives, partnering with the product owner to manage timelines, identify risks, and ensure focused implementation. The PDL will foster a culture of discipline, quality, and excellence throughout the execution process.

This role will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, R&D, and other key business areas to ensure the successful development and launch of products that meet customer needs and drive business growth. Additionally, the PDL will work with Plant Operations to ensure that product designs align with manufacturing capabilities and production requirements.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Leading product development planning sessions to collaboratively develop standardized timelines for product launches.

• Utilizing MS Project or similar tools to create and maintain product development schedules, with a focus on key milestones and deliverables

• Tracking and ensuring the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to project timing, cost, quality, and performance

• Leading formal weekly team meetings to drive progress, ensure clear communication, and address project challenges

• Monitoring and reporting the status of product development projects to leadership, providing visibility into risks and progress

• Participating in or leading post-launch evaluations to recommend enhancements and drive continuous improvement in product development processes

• Ensuring that product outputs consistently meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with business objectives

• Clearly communicating product development expectations and progress to the team, leadership, and other stakeholders

• Identifying, negotiating, and resolving issues that arise within cross-functional teams

• Driving execution across stakeholders, facilitating weekly meetings to ensure alignment and progress toward product goals

Qué necesitamos de ti

• +6 years of experience in project management with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects at one time. Ideally in a CPG/FMCG manufacturing environment
• Experience developing and executing projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with food manufacturing and plant production line is considered a plus
• Lean knowledge in standard work processes, budget planning, and process improvement are essential qualities
• Strong analytical, organizational, and detail oriented skills required
