Indirect Tax Compliance Analyst

Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid)
Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months, Full-time
Team: Part of the Europe Finance Shared Services organization within Finance

Where we need you:

The Europe Finance Shared Services organization supports approximately 20 operating companies across Europe, including the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Greece.

As an Indirect Tax Compliance Analyst, you will support the timely and accurate preparation of indirect tax reporting and compliance activities across multiple European entities. Working closely with the VAT Compliance Manager Europe, finance teams, and external tax partners, you will help ensure compliance with local VAT regulations and reporting requirements while contributing to ongoing process improvements and transformation initiatives.

Your core responsibilities at a glance:

• Support the preparation and submission of VAT and indirect tax returns across European entities.
• Assist in coordinating with external tax advisors and tax filing partners.
• Prepare supporting data for Intrastat and EU Sales List reporting.
• Support digital tax submissions to local government portals.
• Assist accounting teams with VAT-related queries and issue resolution.
• Support monthly reconciliations of VAT-related balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor balances with tax authorities, including payments and refunds.
• Assist with tax audits and information requests.
• Monitor changes in indirect tax regulations and support implementation of process updates.
• Work with ERP and finance teams to improve tax compliance processes and data quality.

The ideal recipe for our new Indirect Tax Compliance Analyst:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in indirect tax or VAT compliance within a finance, accounting, tax, or Shared Services environment.
• Basic understanding of European VAT principles and indirect tax processes.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and develop expertise in indirect taxation.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

• Nice to have: Experience working with SAP (preferably S/4HANA) or other ERP systems.
